VPR uses real-world locations and real weather for its races. There are two types od races. One Loft and My Loft races
In a One Loft Race, every pigeon starts at the same release point and races toward the same destination. The general setup is shared, which creates the clearest direct comparison between competitors.There is nowhere to hide a poor match. Distance, weather, abilities, genetics, health, experience and race history all meet in the same test. The best decision before release gets the cleanest chance to prove itself in flight.
My Loft Races add another tactical layer. The race has a fixed release point and set distance, but you choose your Loft position on the allowed circle. That decision determines the destination and shapes the route your pigeon will fly.Wind direction, terrain, geography and the profile of your pigeon all matter before you place the Loft. Because destinations can differ, the winner is decided by highest average speed over each measured route—not simply by the first pigeon that appears to arrive on screen.
Before you enter, review temperature, rain, air pressure, wind direction, wind speed and humidity. These variables help you estimate how demanding the race may become and which pigeons in your Loft are best suited to it.
Weather is captured and locked before the race begins. It does not keep changing during the event. That protects fairness, replay and verification—and turns the pre-race weather screen into a real strategic moment.
Read the route, the location, the weather, the race format, the category requirement and the field that is already entered. A familiar distance can become a new race when the wind turns, the terrain changes or the situation asks for a different route decision. The player who studies the place understands more than the player who studies only the kilometer count.
Open the live viewer and follow the race in 2D or 3D. Track the start, destination, route, positions, average speed and telemetry as the flock moves across the map. The view creates scale. The data creates meaning. A pigeon opening a gap is exciting. Understanding how it held speed, managed the route and responded to the conditions is what turns the moment into strategy.
