Every pigeon combines several layers: rarity, bloodline, breed type, genotypes, category, generation, abilities and speed-related potential. Generation 1 pigeons are the original pigeons created by the VPR platform. They form the starting population of the ecosystem and the genetic foundation for all future pigeons. The total supply of Generation 1 pigeons is permanently limited to 60,000.
Can more Generation 1 pigeons be created?
No. Once the initial Generation 1 supply has been created, no additional Generation 1 pigeons can ever be minted later.
This supply limit is part of the design of the game and is enforced through the NFT contract on the blockchain. Because of this, Generation 1 pigeons remain the original base population of the ecosystem.

Every pigeon belongs to a bloodline and a breed type. Think of these as part of a pigeon’s background and identity, and as building blocks for collection and breeding strategies.

Rarity shows how uncommon a pigeon is. It is one of the fixed identity traits a pigeon has when it is minted or purchased. In VPR, rarity is part of what makes some pigeons more collectible and strategically interesting than others. A rarer pigeon can have advantages, but race results still depend on the full pigeon profile, race setup, and conditions.

A bloodline groups pigeons with similar inherited traits or tendencies. Think of it as the pigeon’s inherited family line
Breed type shows the pedigree quality within a bloodline. In other words, two pigeons can belong to the same bloodline, but still have different breed types.
It is the race class your pigeon belongs to. In simple terms, category is part of how VPR keeps competition balanced.
